Privacy Policy
NeuroType keeps adult self reflection private and browser-based where possible.
NeuroType results are for self reflection only. They do not confirm or rule out any condition. If you want a formal assessment, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
Who operates NeuroType
NeuroType is operated by BITERIGHT LTD, a private limited company registered in the Republic of Cyprus under registration number HE 477990. Its registered office is 2-4 Arch. Makariou III, Capital Center, 7th Floor, 1065 Nicosia, Cyprus. NeuroType operates the website at neurotype.app. You can contact NeuroType at hello@neurotype.app.
What NeuroType does
NeuroType provides adult self reflection tools and educational information about attention, sensory preferences, masking, executive function, and related experiences. NeuroType is not a diagnostic service, medical advice, psychological advice, crisis support, or a substitute for formal assessment.
Data that stays in your browser
During free tool completion, individual answers, notes, progress, and local result summaries stay in your browser where technically possible. NeuroType uses browser storage so you can resume an in-progress tool or view a local result in the same browser.
Free tools do not send individual answers to NeuroType servers, store them in a database, place them in public URLs, or send them to analytics, payment providers, email providers, AI providers, or file storage.
Data that may be processed later
Optional one-time result emails and profile continuation emails are available when email sending is configured. If you explicitly choose one of those flows, NeuroType processes the email address you enter and the safe summary fields shown to you in the email form. Individual answers are not emailed.
If you explicitly buy a paid report, NeuroType processes the aggregate scores and report fields shown before checkout, your email address, payment status, and delivery information needed to generate and deliver that report. Individual answers are not sent.
Individual answers should remain local unless a future feature clearly explains otherwise and asks for explicit action from you.
Why NeuroType processes personal data
NeuroType processes checkout, payment-status, report-delivery, and support data because it is necessary to provide the feature or answer the request you choose. It processes records needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal claims where required by law or for legitimate business interests.
Aggregate trait scores may reveal information about health or neurodevelopmental experiences. NeuroType processes those fields for a paid report only after you take the explicit checkout action and consent to that processing. You can withdraw consent before checkout by not continuing. Once a requested report has been generated and delivered, withdrawal cannot undo processing already completed, but you may still exercise applicable data rights.
Google Analytics loads only after you accept optional analytics. You may decline it without losing access to free tools or paid reports.
What is not collected by default
NeuroType does not collect individual answers by default during free tool completion. You do not need an account to use the free reflection tools. Sensitive score details should not be sent to analytics events, ad pixels, logs, or public URLs.
Optional email
Email capture is optional and never blocks free results. You may choose to email yourself a one-time result summary or a profile continuation link. NeuroType sends only the summary shown in that flow, the tool name, completion date, safe next step link, and similar delivery metadata. Individual answers, raw answer arrays, private notes, and full response sets are not emailed.
Transactional email is handled through Resend when configured. If email sending is disabled or unavailable, you can still copy your result summary locally. You can contact hello@neurotype.app for deletion requests relating to personal data NeuroType holds. If insight emails are introduced later, they should include a way to unsubscribe.
Analytics
NeuroType uses Vercel Analytics for broad site usage and performance. It also uses Google Analytics 4 only after analytics consent. Analytics must not include individual answers, raw scores, sensitive trait details, email addresses, or report content. Google advertising signals and ad personalisation signals are disabled in NeuroType’s GA4 setup.
Payments
If you buy a paid report, payment details are handled by Stripe or another payment provider. NeuroType should not receive your full card details. Payment metadata must be limited to what is needed to complete the purchase and deliver the chosen feature.
Service providers and international transfers
NeuroType uses Vercel for hosting and site analytics, Google for consented analytics, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email, and a Vercel Marketplace Redis service for short-lived delivery and idempotency records. These providers act under their own terms and data-processing arrangements.
A provider may process data outside Cyprus or the European Economic Area. Where data-protection law requires it, NeuroType relies on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism used by the provider.
Cookies and local storage
NeuroType may use essential browser storage for site operation, such as saving progress locally in your browser. Analytics cookies are not currently used by the app. If analytics cookies are added later, NeuroType should explain that clearly.
Retention and clearing local results
Browser-local answers and results stay on your device until you clear them, reset a tool, clear site data, switch browser, or use a private browsing session that removes storage automatically. Because free tool answers are intended to stay local, NeuroType may not be able to access or delete data that only exists on your device.
Profile continuation emails link back to NeuroType, but saved results live in the browser where they were created. A link may not restore results on another device, another browser, or after local browser data has been cleared.
Paid-report delivery records stored by NeuroType’s persistent webhook store expire after 45 days under the current production configuration. Stripe, Resend, Vercel, and Google retain their own service records under their published policies and settings. NeuroType keeps accounting or transaction records longer when required by tax or other law, and keeps support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain necessary business records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data NeuroType holds about you. Contact hello@neurotype.app for privacy requests.
You may also withdraw consent where consent is the processing basis, and complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus at dataprotection.gov.cy. These rights can have lawful limits, including records NeuroType must keep for tax, fraud prevention, or legal claims.
Adults only and health sensitivity
NeuroType is for adults aged 18 and over. The site may help you enter or generate sensitive self reflection information. Avoid typing anything you do not want stored locally on your device or included in an optional email, support, export, or paid feature flow.
