Choosing clothes for sensory comfort is not pickiness. It is regulation work. Treating it that way often makes the whole day easier.
Spending the day half-aware of a label, a seam, a stiff fabric, or a waistband that is louder than the work in front of you. By the end of the day, you have done two jobs: your actual one and the one of managing your clothes.
A small core wardrobe of items you know are quiet. Pre wash and stretch new items before deciding. Cut out tags. Treat dressing as a regulation choice rather than a styling one when you need to.
